About the event
There is a lot no one tells you about those first weeks and months of fatherhood. How it can feel unfamiliar. How your baby seems to respond to everything — and sometimes nothing you do. How becoming a dad can bring up feelings you did not expect, from your own childhood, your own history, your own sense of who you are.
This workshop holds space for all of that.
Led by Héloïse Stauff, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and Micah Shapiro, LCSW, PMH-C, this one-time workshop brings together two things new dads rarely get at the same time: something practical and something honest.
You will learn:
How to read your baby's cues and ask for their consent before touch
Simple leg and foot massage strokes to practice with your baby
